Tryouts are held each year for the formation of teams in June. Players will be evaluated on several criteria and a team will be formed from the pool of players at tryouts. I DON'T THINK I CAN AFFORD THE COST ASSOCIATED WITH JAGUARS. IS THERE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE? Applications are reviewed by a financial aid committee and decisions dependent upon need and fund availability.
HOW MANY PLAYERS ARE ON A TEAM? The number of players on a team varies depending on the age of players. The older teams (U13-U19) can have a maximum of 18 players (play 11v11), U11 and U12 are allowed 16 players (play 9v9), and U9 - U10 teams have a maximum roster size of 12 (play 7v7).

CAN MY CHILD PLAY ON AN OLDER TEAM? We generally discourage this because the most important part of soccer is having fun. Most kids want to play with their friends from school. Any exception cases are handled by the Director of Coaching and registration team. Players are never allowed to play down.
WE ARE A BUSY FAMILY, HOW MUCH TIME IS INVOLVED IN PLAYING FUTURES? We encourage our coaches to practice 1-2 times per week for about 60 to 90 minutes per session.
HOW ARE THE FUTURES COACHES SELECTED AND WHEN DO THEY CHANGE? The Program Directors selects new coaches from a list of candidates that are asked or request to become coaches. Most times, they’re community coaches/parents that have coached in the recreational leagues. Potential coaches are asked to present a coaching resume or fill out an survey. They must also get a risk management card from MSYSA. If you are interested in youth soccer, the Dearborn community and giving back to the game, please use the "contact form" to talk with us.

ARE THE FUTURES COACHES COMPENSATED? Our parent volunteer coaches are provided a free registration for the Spring season when coaching Fall/Spring. If coaches only are planning Fall season only, they will receive a 50% credit at the end of the Fall season. Community coaches that are hired to fill a coaching need are typically paid per session attended at a pre-determined rate.
